Life on the farm
Konok is our family's working farm, tucked between a forest and the Chuy river with mountains on the horizon. Life here follows the rhythm of the animals and the seasons. Our approach to sustainability is simple: we farm the traditional way. Our cows roam freely in the forest during the day, and daily chores like milking are done gently by hand. You'll stay in one of our three traditional yurts, which are naturally low-impact—their brilliant natural insulation keeps them comfortable day and night with minimal need for electricity. When you eat with us, you are tasting the region. Every day brings something new from our kitchen, and many of our ingredients are sourced directly from our own farm or our neighbors in the village. Come to slow down and see how a Kyrgyz family lives. Above all, you'll be made welcome: Kyrgyz hospitality is generous, and we'll treat you like part of the family from the moment you arrive. Families, solo travellers and groups all stay with us, and you can bring your pet too.

Meet the family
We're Tima and Mimo. Together with Tima’s parents—who started this farm and built the house we live in—we run this cattle farm, raising our three young boys alongside the daily work. As more travelers began discovering the beauty of Kyrgyzstan, we saw a chance to open our farm and share our way of life. We built the yurts in 2026 to be part of that growing community, and because we genuinely love meeting people from around the world and practising our English. Most of all, we love the quiet here: no traffic and beautiful dark nights. While the farm keeps us busy during the day, evening is our time to cook together, share a meal, and hear your stories. We hope you'll love it here as much as we do.
Finding us
Our farm is about a three-hour drive from Bishkek, and about 3 km, or five minutes by car, from the centre of Kochkor. That's close enough for an easy trip into town and far enough to enjoy the quiet. The map link shows exactly where to find us.
Around Kochkor
Kochkor is the gateway to high-altitude Song-Kul lake and the home of traditional Kyrgyz felt craft. From our farm, you can easily arrange a trip to the lake, take a shyrdak felt workshop, or visit the lively Sunday livestock market.
